Coach Tyler McDonald was born in Richmond, Missouri and moved to Oak Grove, Missouri his 7th grade year. He graduated from Oak Grove High in 2005 and joined the Air Force in 2008. When Coach Mac was 5, he started his baseball career, which fueled his passion for sports from there on out. Once he turned 9, Coach Mac made his first All Stare team and pushing Richmond to the first State title. Until he was 13, Coach Mac was always competing and pushing Richmond to state tournaments as a catcher. Upon entering High School Coach Mac made the varsity Baseball Team and lettered 3 years in a row. He took a break from baseball after his junior year to focus on football.
Coach McDonald eventually took his baseball talents to the coaching side of the sport. In 2015, he began coaching baseball in Litchfield, AZ. After moving to Goodyear, AZ, Coach Mac volunteered to coach THE 10U Diamondbacks, leading them to the Championship. Shortly after that, he volunteered to Coach and represent the 10U Goodyear All Star team, finishing 3rd in the state. In 2019, Coach Mac and his family PCS’d to Eielson, AFB and enrolling his two boys in the Fairbanks IBL league. Coach Mac is extremely excited about the opportunity to coach the 10U North Star’s and build the foundation for these young kids.
